  • The board awards Spring & Fall Grants each school year.
  • All grade levels and curricular areas will be considered.
  • Requests can be initiated by faculty, students, administrative personnel, parents, citizens, and other civic, governmental, or community organizations.
  • The grant must benefit students of BPS101 school district.

The requests are reviewed by a subcommittee of the Batavia Foundation. Critical criteria include the number of students to benefit, the completion of ALL questions on the application, the innovativeness of the proposal, concurrence with Batavia School District goals or mission, ongoing benefits once the program is complete, and the inability of existing programs to meet this identified need.

Tips for a Successful Application

  • Fill out ALL parts of the application. Itemized budgets should be attached or included with your grant application.
  • Please do NOT include your name or school anywhere within your application. Only on the cover page. This allows for a "blind review" of your application.
  • Please discuss the project with your Principal and obtain his/her signature. In addition to required administrative signatures on the grant application.
  • Submit the application on time. Our Spring grant deadline is 3/3/17 by 4 p.m.
  • Please see a sample grant application below.

Grant Policies

The Batavia Education for Educational Excellence (BFEE) invites you to apply for a 2017 Spring Grant to enhance the learning experience for students in your classroom, school, and in our district.

We encourage you to seek the input of your team, Principal, and your school PTO prior to submitting your grant to verify that there is no duplication, or other funds available to support your idea. Many ideas initially funded by BFEE grants have become successful district-wide initiatives and we’re proud to play a small role in your success.

All grant applications will be reviewed "blind." Please do not include your name or school anywhere except the cover page of your application. Our policies are listed below:
