2025 Scholarship Recipients

This spring, 9 Batavia students were each honored with scholarships from the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence on behalf of Dt. Stephanie Pace Marshall, Megan Reed, Thomas L. Schmitz, William Freiburger, Molly Mae Vance, Michael A. Bonifas, Matthew J Nena, and Bulldog Legacy Award. Scholarships were awarded based on community service, school related activities, and academic status.


Megan Reed Scholarship - $2,000
Scholarship Winner: Makenna Mullen
Awarded to a student attending a trade school.

Dr. Stephanie Pace Marshall Scholarship - $2,000
Scholarship Winner: Chase Wells
Awarded to a student pursuing a service-based career at a trade school, community college or 4-year college/university.

Matthew J. Nena Memorial Scholarship - $1,000
Scholarship Winner: Patricio Marvite
The scholarship is designed to honor college bound graduating seniors who have overcome a difficult situation in their life either academically, athletically, or personally.

Thomas L. Schmitz Scholarship - $1,000
Scholarship Winner: Eleanor Manning
Awarded to a student who appreciates this community and will make an effort to also give back.

William Freiburger Scholarship - $2,000 each
Scholarship Winners: Julia Arulandu and Sophia Hayden
Awarded to a student who embodied William’s love for others and serving community.

Molly Mae Vance Scholarship - $1,000
Scholarship Winner: Chase Wells
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in public service.

Michael Arthur Bonifas Scholarship - $1,500
Scholarship Winner: Francesco Benelli
Awarded to a first generation college student.

Bulldog Legacy Award - $500
Scholarship Winner: Sawyer Conroy
Awarded to a Batavia High School football player with an exceptional work ethic.
